Hiper rims on deluxe spindles

Has anyone used the Hiper carbon fiber rims on the newer spindles? We have 3" back spacing and they don't clear the arms. When we try spacing the wheel out with washers we run out of threads for the wheel nut. The rims we have are the old style, I know they make a newer style that will work with any center like aluminums do. Are the newer style possibly thinner around the back lip and will clear?
any help or suggestions would be appreciated
